Yeo Xi Yang is the founder of Convivial, Southeast Asia’s first dedicated Champagne bar. A respected sommelier who won the Singapore National Sommelier Competition 2022, and Best Sommelier in French Wines 2016 and 2018, he can now be regularly found pouring over 200 labels of Champagne at Convivial. 

Already breaking new ground with Southeast Asia’s first Champagne bar, Yang was inspired to create an annual Champagne festival within this region as well. He sets his sights on making Champagne fun, accessible and engaging for a wider audience—beyond just connoisseurs. Through the festival, he aims to celebrate the diversity and heritage of Champagne, while also spotlighting emerging producers and innovative styles. With curated tastings and educational masterclasses, Yang envisions a vibrant, inclusive Champagne culture that resonates with both seasoned enthusiasts and curious newcomers across Southeast Asia.
