Hélène

Domaine d’Hélène is small but mighty — a sparkling new star in the world of grower Champagne! Based in Cramant in the Côte des Blancs, this is the passion project of Pierre Hugot, who returned home after stints at Burgundy legends like Roulot, Chavy-Chouet, and Comte Liger-Belair. With just under a hectare of inherited vines and a dream to craft sustainable, terroir-driven Blanc de Blancs, Pierre is making magic happen. Organic and biodynamic farming, wild yeasts, and extended lees aging all combine to create wines that are pure, expressive, and bursting with chalky minerality and zesty citrus.

Festivalgoers will get to taste the early fruits of this promising venture. The Vertus 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs 2019 shows freshness and structure, a snapshot of Pierre’s thoughtful winemaking, while the Blanc de Blancs 2018 layers delicate florals, citrus, and minerality in a style that feels both elegant and quietly powerful. Quantities are tiny, but the impact is huge — each sip is a glimpse into Pierre’s vision and the bright future of Domaine d’Hélène. Perfect for curious festival-goers ready to discover something fresh, bold, and absolutely captivating.
